Donald Frantz, 71, of Fisherville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
He was born on August 4, 1953 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Richard and Anna (Coyne) Frantz. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Kosky.
In high school, Donald volunteered at the Battle Creek Ambulance Service. He served in the United States Army for 11 years working as a Medical Specialist, Infantryman and Medical NCO. During his service he traveled to places throughout the U.S and overseas such as Japan, South Korea, Germany, Okinawa and Taiwan. Donald also volunteered at the Eastwood Fire Department and worked many years at different restaurants in and around Louisville, including owning the Old Walnut Chili Parlor. He retired from ConAgra after working 8 years.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Wisehart) Frantz; sons, Matthew Frantz, David Frantz; grandchildren, Maxx and Evey Frantz; two brothers, Andy Frantz (Shelly), Richard Frantz (Trena); two sisters, Melanie Ryska and Diana Frantz-Hyde (Ed).
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). A private burial service will be held at a later date in Battle Creek, Michigan.
