Donald Edward Feeney, Sr.

Mr. Donald Edward Feeney, Sr., age 82 passed away March 13, 2010. He was a retired life insurance salesman with 37 years service and was awarded the professional designation of Chartered Life Underwriter in 1965. He was a graduate of St. Columba Grade School and St. Xavier High School. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and The Korean War.

Mr. Feeney is the father of nine children and was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin Louis and Gregory Linton, brother Michael F. Feeney, Jr. and his sister, Anne Dowden.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Nau Feeney; daughters, Shelia C. Kaelin, RN (Kenneth), Beth Feeney Lee (Pat), Melanie Feeney-Lewis (Kenneth Lewis), of Kernersville, NC, Laura F. Leitsch, BSN (James) of Lexington, Ky.; sons, Dr. Donald E. Feeney, Jr., Brian S. Feeney (Tina), and Shaun C. Feeney; sisters, Doris Smith and Jane Hauger (Roger). Also surviving are 13 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Drive with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown.

The family requests that instead of floral remembrances, a tax deductible contribution may be made to the Right to Life Educational Foundation of Ky., 134 Breckinridge Lane, Louisville, Ky. 40207, to benefit unborn children.
