Donald "Don" Lee Gore, born on January 29, 1940, in Crestwood, Kentucky, passed away on February 1, 2025, in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. He lived a life dedicated to those he cherished, serving as a proud husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

For most of his life, Don worked as a truck driver. His commitment to his career was matched only by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was the best provider, always ensuring that everyone was well taken care of, demonstrating each day the depth of his love and responsibility.

Don had a vibrant personality and a variety of interests. An avid UK Basketball fan, he relished cheering for his team. He found joy in engaging activities such as softball, fishing, golfing, and disc golf. His love for gatherings was evident in the many family dinners and cookouts he hosted, where laughter and stories flowed freely amidst the unity of family and friends. He was the proud father of four sons-Tony B. (Brenda) Gore, Scott (Cathy Hart) Gore, Steve Broughton, and Kevin Broughton-as well as a devoted daughters, LeAnn Alexander and Robin Couch.

He is survived by four sons-Tony B. (Brenda) Gore, Scott (Cathy Hart) Gore, Steve Broughton, and Kevin Broughton-as well as a one daughter, LeAnn Alexander. The bonds he formed with his children and their families were among his proudest accomplishments. He also leaves behind 13 beloved grandchildren: Brittany, Rebecca, Amber, Leslie, Kiri, Kati, Kelsey, Michael, Max, Danielle, Ashley, April, and Thomas, along with 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren who filled his life with joy.

Don shared a special connection with his sisters, Anna Warren and Sharon (Billy) Way, and he cherished his relationships with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His legacy is further enriched by the love he shared with his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy Gore, who stood by him through the highs and lows of their journey together.

While he is dearly missed, the memories of Don's unwavering love and commitment to his family will live on in their hearts. He now joins those who have gone before him, including his daughter Robin Couch, grandsons Jason and Trevor Gore, his parents Arthur and Margaret Gore, and sisters Charlotte Palmer and Patricia Gore, as well as his daughters-in-law, Crystal and Paula Broughton.
