Dolores Jean (Williamson) Sturgeon, 84, a loving mother, and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was a member of the Eastern Star Post 340, New Albany, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Judea #20 and Order of Amaranth Kentucky Court #1.
Dolores was born on August 10, 1929 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Henry and Clara (Gilbert) Williamson. She was also preceded in death by two children; William Smith, and Linda Langston, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Schlageter; brothers, Alvin Williamson, Tommy Williamson 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 4 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 4 PM Saturday in the chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hosparus-Hospice of Southern Indiana (624 E. Market Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150) or to the family (payable to Teresa Schlageter).
