Dianne Schladand

Dianne Fay Elizabeth Schladand, 77, passed away on February 13, 2024. She was born on November 12, 1946 in New Albany, Indiana to James M. Young from Chicago, Illinois, and Sylvia G. Duffy from New Albany, Indiana who both preceded her in death. Dianne is survived by her daughters, Leilani Meek (Joseph) and Desiree Payton (Dean); 6 grandchildren, Amy Elliott (Travis), Joel Deddens (Cori), Alexis Janes (Kyle), Ashlee Cobb, Collin Payton (Morgan) and Nolan Payton; and three great-grandchildren, Nicklas Elliott, Eli Elliott and Charlotte Payton. She is also survived by her three siblings, Tony Young (Jeanne), Garry Young and Denise Wiseman (Jerry).

Before retirement, Dianne had a successful career in the insurance industry. She was a graduate of Indiana University and received her MBA from Wesleyan University. She volunteered at the New Albany Public Library, her church and her homeowner's association. She loved to read, play games, watch movies, crafting and travel. But most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
