Diana Nevin

Diana D. Nevin, nee Thomas, age 63 passed away Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit at Norton Hospital after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Doris Thomas and her brother, Darrel Thomas.

Diana was a devoted teacher at Hebron Middle School for over 30 years and had a positive influence on many of the young people she taught. Always busy and involved, Diana never knew a stranger and was always surrounded by a myriad of wonderful friends. She was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

Diana is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert P. (Pat) Nevin; her daughter, Courtney Johnson, Louisville; her son, Brian Nevin, Lexington. She was the proudest Grandma to Abigail, Cameron and Zachary Johnson. She leaves behind her sister, Anita Stockton (Dan), New Madison, Ohio and her sister-in-law, Loretta Thomas of Greenville, Ohio. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and many other special relatives and friends.

We will be celebrating her blessed life with a memorial visitation on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, Ky.
