Derrick W. Geltmaker

Derrick W. Geltmaker, 40, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. Derrick enjoyed hunting and bird dogs, fishing, truck pulls, movies, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

He was born on December 26, 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky to Richard and Melanie (Davis) Geltmaker. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; and five uncles, Billy Geltmaker, Bobby Geltmaker, Jimmy Geltmaker, Gary Davis, and Terry Heck.

Derrick is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Melanie Geltmaker; aunt, Melinda Huelson; aunt, Sharon (Jim) Reeves; aunt, Michelle Heck; aunt, Cindy Davis; aunt, Carol (Ed) O'Brien; aunt, Judy Geltmaker; uncle, Stuart (Phyllis) Geltmaker; aunt, Patti (Terry) Maples; aunt, Joyce (Dale) Fugate; aunt, Donna Geltmaker; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
