Dennis Ray"Skip" Foster

Dennis Ray "Skip" Foster, 67, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Monday morning, August 29, 2016. He was a proud United States Army veteran and a retired reserve coordinator for the Floyd County Sheriff's Department. Skip was a member of the American Legion, VFW, FOP, Moose Lodge, Eagles, and Covenant Church of God in Florida.

He was born on July 24, 1949 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph and Louada (McElfresh) Foster. Skip is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan (Wimsatt) Foster; sons, Troy Foster (Shannon), BJ Foster (Chelsey); brother, Richard Foster (Beverly); grandchildren, Nick Foster, Craig Foster, Paisley Foster, Ashley Helbig, Kendrick Goines, Patrick Goines; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn, Scarlet, Ava Joy, Landon, and Brooklyn.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 8 PM on Friday, September 2, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
