Dennis L. Miller

Mr. Dennis L. Miller, Sr., age 78 passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 at his residence. He was a retired Federal Food Inspector and former owner of Convenient Food Mart in Middletown. He was a member of the Middletown VFW Post 1170, where he was a charter member and first and four-time Commander. He was also a member of the American Legion Zachary Taylor Post, parishoner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, a US AirForce Veteran of the Korean War and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his son Dennis, Jr.

Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary Agnes Hartman; three sons, Edwin F., Dwayne F. and Keith E. Miller; three daughters, Brenda A. Miller-Bench, Konnie M. McCollum, and Karla M. McCollum; three brothers, Albert A., William P., and Douglas A. Miller; four sisters, Phyllis Stovall, Thelma Diebold, Patricia A. McShea and Kathleen A. Vegh. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

A celebration of Mr. Miller's life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with interment in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky. Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
