Denise Lynn Foote

Denise Lynn Foote, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Denise was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and Mema. She was a mother figure to many and people gravitated towards her nurturing personality. She devoted her life to serving others in the hospitality industry. Denise enjoyed spending time watching true crime television, dancing, and attending Oldies concerts. Her favorite color was purple and she was an avid animal lover.  Denise was fiesty, fierce, and had a spunk that could be compared to none. Most importantly, Denise loved to spend time with her family making memories. She will be remembered for her humor, quick wit, and laughter that could light up a room. Denise will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

She was born on August 5, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Dorris Jones. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, James Carl Jones, Sr., and Nellie Carrie Hartlage; and her great-grandson, Ashton Lee Anthony Sibert, and her support dog, Nellie Foote. 

Denise is survived by her loving family, daughter, Leslie (Ross) Sibert; sisters, Donna (Charles) Adkisson, Vicki Jones; grandchildren, Kierstyn Foote, Kendall Sibert, Kandace Sibert; great-grandchildren, Layne, Alexander her fur baby, Callie Foote; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
