Delphia Ann (Bradley) Bowling, 83, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Delphia proudly obtained her GED at the age of 41. She was a gifted gardener of Mr. Stripey Tomatoes and planted early peas grown in February. She dearly loved her family and grandkids. Delphia loved God and lived her daily walk with God who found opportunities to witness to others about Him daily. She was a fantastic cook and always tried to give to others. Delphia was a big promoter of education and worked for the Scott County School District #1 for 17 years. She was a member of the 3rd Street Free Pentecostal Church of God. She was born on September 3, 1940 in Gunlock, Kentucky to the late Kelly Bradley and Vena Thomas Bradley. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Chester, Ives, and Kelly Arthur Bradley; and sisters, Elsie Burns, Lucille Wood, and Cleo Shimony.
Delphia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Cile Bowling; children, Sandra Bowling, David (Melissa) Bowling, and Joan (Bob) Wagner; grandchildren, Jami (Ava), Jordan, and Justin (April) Bowling; Taylor and Kayla Wagner; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Honor, Kennedy, and Jackson Bowling, and Mason Wagner; and sisters, Olvie Berry, Ethyl Barrett, and Jean Large.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, IN.
