Delores S. Todd

Delores S. Todd, a beloved figure to many, left this world on October 22, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on July 8, 1928, Delores exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life. She was known for her spirit and strong-willed nature, which endeared her to all who knew her.

Delores had a passion for life that was reflected in her various hobbies and interests. She found joy in gardening, her hands nurturing the earth and coaxing forth beautiful blooms that brought light to her home. Cooking was another of her cherished activities; her kitchen was a warm haven where delicious meals were created, filled with love and laughter. In her quieter moments, Delores expressed her creativity through sewing, often crafting gifts for her family, each stitch imbued with her affection.

Her faith was an essential part of her life, and she loved attending church, which provided her with both community and comfort. Delores embraced her spirituality with a deep-seated belief that guided her through life’s challenges and triumphs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Todd; daughter, Alice Meriweather; son, Reggie Price; sister, Magdalina Spencer and her favorite daughter-in-law, Belinda Green.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories her son, Robert Green; grandchildren, David (Marti) Meriweather, Angie (Chris) Becker, Nicola Green, Robin Green, Shanda Green and Josh (Tonya) Green; great-grandchildren, Kirby (Clara) Becker, Stacia Meriweather, William Greenwell, Brianna Greenwell and DJ Morton; great-great-grandchildren, Kyra, Aviella and Alexander Paul and her fur babies, Coco and Pitino Lee.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during a visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272, on October 31, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following this, a funeral service will be held at the same location on November 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM, where loved ones will gather to share their memories and honor the beautiful legacy Delores leaves behind.

Though she may have been little in stature, Delores S. Todd's presence was larger than life. Her spirited personality and undeniable strength will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing to those she touched.
