Delores "Sissy" Ann Martin, 93, of Eubank, Kentucky, previously from Louisville/Valley Station passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Sissy was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, Grass Roots Democrat Club, and the Block watch captain of Barksdale Dr. She was a loving wife, mom, super nanny, and Aunt Doe. She loved her dogs Julie, Mugsy, Iggy, and Chili, and would always cook them chicken. She loved taking care of her family cooking, cleaning, and making sure there were brownies on the table. Enjoyed spending time with all the McDonalds Crew.
She was born on February 12, 1931 in Somerset, Kentucky to Howard and Jean (Hughes) Hall. She is preceded in death by her Father: Howard Raymond Hall; Mother: Jean Northcut Hall; Sister: Shirley Poynter; Brother: Charles "Burr" Hall; Niece: Kathy Hall; and Nephew: David Poynter.
Delores is survived by her loving Husband of 60 years, Mack Duell Martin; Children: Judi Stogsdill and John (Lisa) Martin; Grandchildren: Chris Stogsdill, Christian Martin, Arianna (Jefet) Martin-Ferran, and Braden (Jordyn) Martin; Great-Grandchildren: Mason Stogsdill and Jackson Stogsdill; Niece: Jeanie (Nick) Kirincich; Nephews: Donald (Karen) Poynter and Doug (Tina) Hall, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her memory forever.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Delores's memory be made to Hospice of Somerset (305 Langdon St. 4th Floor, Somerset, KY 42503).
