Delonia Mae Greenwell

Delonia Mae Greenwell, 72, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. Delonia devoted her life to caring for people she loved, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers, working in the yard, crafting, and reading.

Delonia was born on November 21, 1950, in Cub Run, Kentucky, to the late Raymond and Audrey (Thompson) Jaggers. Other then her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Greenwell; two sisters, Margie Vance and Wilma Ford; and brother, Charles Jaggers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Mike Greenwell; two daughters, Tami Shelley and Kim (Junie Schoch) McPeak; two granddaughters, Ali McPeak and Sami Shelley; great-grandchild, Taylor Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Delonia's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
