Delia (Apodaca) Book, 75, of Corydon, Indiana passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Corydon, Indiana.
Delia was born on January 30, 1937 in El Paso, Texas to the late Richard and Rose (Carrol) Apodaca. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene Spencer.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leo Book; children, Wally Book (Penny), Cathy Reed (Jim), Linda Tubb (Jerry), Gina Salsman (Rusty), Ricky Book (Lisa), Michael Book (Stacy); siblings, Rose Miller, Richard Apodaca; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany) and after 9 AM on Thursday at the church. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, at St. Michael's Catholic Church (11400 Farmer's Lane NE, Bradford) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff at Indian Creek Nursing Home for their care and support of Delia over the last few years. Contributions in Delia's memory may be made to the American Diabetes's Association.
