Deiona Re'Nicka Duncan "Dee Dee"

Deiona Re'Nicka Duncan was born on September 23, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Leon Duncan Jr. and her surviving Mother, Remona Crenshaw. She was a twin and the fourth child of five children.

Deiona was baptized at an early age at Midwest Church of Christ. She graduated from Iroquois High School, where she ran track, played basketball and was a cheerleader. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Masters Degree in Accounting, and a Bachelors Degree from DeVry University. Most recently, she attended JCTC to become a Registered Nurse. Deiona wanted to become a nurse to help people. Deiona was a selfless and giving person and wanted to share her gratitude through nursing.

Deiona was employed at Kindred Health Care, Our Lady of Peace, and Baptist East Hospital. She was a diligent and faithful worker. Deiona was a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. When not at work, she enjoyed living a healthy lifestyle, shopping, reading novels, listening to music, and spending quality time with friends and family. If you knew Deiona well, she always had a listening ear. She would send daily affirmations through TikTok and motivational speeches.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory the proud grandparents, Leon Sr. & Juanita Phoenix, and Joan Stephenson. Deiona leaves to mourn her mother Remona Crenshaw (Thomas). Her siblings Re'Yana, Leon III, Reiona, and Dana Duncan, Brandon and Jermaine Crenshaw. Her nieces and nephews; Darion Duncan, Odishio Peters, Da'Naja, Daniyah, and Daylin Johnson; her godchildren; Anthony and Sir Scott, Brielle German, and Jayla Richardson. In addition she leaves behind her aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leon Duncan Jr., grandfather, William L. Stephenson Jr., grandmother, Katy Duncan, and her beloved fur baby, Debo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Midwest Church of Christ (2115 Garland Ave, Louisville, KY 40211). Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the Midwest Church of Christ with her funeral service to follow at 10:00 am (2115 Garland Ave, Louisville, KY 40211).
