Debra Ann Roby, born on November 19, 1959, in Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in her beloved hometown, surrounded by her family. Debra was a graduate of Fairdale High School and devoted many years of her career to serving as a supervisor in the food industry, demonstrating unwavering dedication and a hard-working spirit.
Debra was known for her affectionate and caring nature. As a mother and grandmother, she instilled love and warmth in her family, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. She particularly treasured spending special Saturdays with her granddaughter, Raelynn Roby, moments that brought joy and laughter to their lives.
In addition to her commitment to family, Debra found joy in various interests. She was an avid viewer of soap operas and enthusiastically followed "Chicago Fire." Debra loved reading her Bible and engaging with her friends and family on Facebook. Her passion for UK basketball was a testament to her spirited personality, and her love for life was evident in the time she spent with her family and friends.
Debra's pride in watching her family grow was one of her proudest accomplishments. She touched the lives of many and was a source of inspiration and support to those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Williams; son, Larry Dale Roby, II; granddaughter, Raelynn Roby; brother, Junius Jackson; niece, Brittany (Daniel) Goldberg; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Junius Jackson; mother, Betty Jackson; brother, Edward Jackson; and sister, Rebecca Jackson.
Debra Ann Roby's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends for years to come. Her spirit will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday January 18th, from 11:00am-1:00pm, at Wellman Memorial Wesleyan Church, 3220 Bohannon Ave, Louisville, KY 40215, with a celebration of life service to follow at 1:00pm.
