Deborah Ann Pollard, 68, of Louisville, went Heavenly home Sunday, September 24, 2023.
Born September 20, 1955, she was a daughter of the late David Ronald and Katherine Mae Hawkins Downs.
She was a retired Dispatcher with 17 years of service from Louisville Metro Fire & EMS. Before that, she worked for Yellow Ambulance where she did everything except handle the money til!
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her best friends Helen and Herbie Westphal.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, John Lee Pollard, Jr.; her daughters, Jennifer Vega, Katherine Vega Flores (Norlan) and Kimberly Taurman; her son, John Ricketts; her grandchildren, Maria Ortega, Jachelle Vega, John Ricketts, Jr., Armando Ortega, Diego Ortega, Jaquey Vega, Josiah Ricketts, Manuel Flores, Juan Flores, Sonia Williams and Daniel Williams; her great grandchildren, Kyzer Lee, Kendrix Bell and Amias Gidron; and her siblings, Jane Waddle, David Downs, Jr., June Bell, Doug Downs and Kim Owens; and her best friend, Lora Nakib.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
