Deborah J. Paulley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah J. Paulley, age 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, who left this world on August 24, 2024. Deborah was a devoted follower of the Lord, known for her beautiful singing voice and her dedication to her church, where she managed the clothing closet. Her love for her church community was evident, and she treated everyone she met with kindness and warmth, embodying the love of Jesus.

Born on November 5, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, Deborah was the daughter of Horace and Delores (Ireland) Peck. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Horace Clayton Peck, Sr. and Delores Jean Peck, as well as her brother, Ricky Peck.

Deborah's legacy of love endures through her family. She is survived by her cherished husband of 50 years, Edward "Eddie" Paulley; her daughters, Shannon Lee and Melissa (Joey) Bennett; and her bonus daughter, Brandy Marcum. Deborah took great joy in her grandchildren, Jebediah Lee, Savannah Lee, and Justin Bennett, and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Lee. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Horace "Jay" (Irane) Peck, Jr., William "Bo" (Jerri) Peck, Greg (Christy) Peck, Mark (Ronda) Peck, Sr., and Quinn (Tina) Peck; her sister-in-law, Jan Peck; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will hold her memory dear.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday at the same location, followed by burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

In honor of Deborah’s legacy, the family requests that contributions be made to Lighthouse of Prayer, located at 9600 Cane Run Rd., Louisville, KY 40258.
