Deborah Jean Fuson

Deborah Fuson, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, went home to be with God on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Deborah was a faithful child of God, who loved Gospel music and read her Bible daily. She also enjoyed sewing and creating ceramic works of art. Above all, Deborah loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

She was born on July 10, 1955, in New Albany, Indiana, to Coen and Eleanor (Wolfe) Scharrer. She is preceded in death by her father, Coen Scharrer.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Roy Fuson; sons, Steven (Kristen) Fuson and Jeremy (Rebecca) Fuson; mother, Eleanor Scharrer; grandchildren, Skylar, Hunter, Carter, and River; best friends, Angie Lawson and Marsha Debarlabon; beloved dog, Bugsy; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Deborah's memory be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (301 East Main Street, #100, Louisville, KY 40202).
