Dawn Joy Smith

Dawn Joy Smith, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Dawn was caring, had a big heart and was always there to help. She enjoyed going and playing BINGO, traveling with her family, hanging out with her friends, and above all else she loved her family.

She was born on February 20, 1960 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Lewellen and Ann (Mattingly) Smith. She is preceded in death by her Father, Lewellen R. Smith, Mother, Ann E. Smith, Husband, Terry G. Smith, Son, Shawn Smith, Daughter, Brandy Smith, Brother, James Smith, and Sister, Louann Anderson.

Dawn is survived by her loving family, Children, Terry L. (Elizabeth) Smith, Savanah M. Smith, and James (Michelle) Smith; Grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Mia Smith, Journey Smith, TJ Smothers, and Hunter Smothers; Brother, Dee Smith; Sister, Karen Nolan, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her memory forever.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
