David W. Reynolds

David W. Reynolds, 69, of New Washington, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was a 1962 graduate of Providence High School. Dave was a private contractor, carpenter, and master woodworker for most of his life. He had a great passion for farming and spent the last several years in retirement growing fruits and vegetables.

He was born on March 7, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana and grew up on his family's farm in Floyds Knobs. Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Kaelin) Hentrup; and wife of 31 years, Marilyn Rose (Book) Reynolds.

Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Janet Boyer; step-father, Jerome Hentrup; children, Denise Kuenzer (John), Joe Reynolds (Barbara); step-children, Kendra Hirons (Brian), Chad Jackson (Crystal); siblings, Jerome Hentrup, Peggy Grainger, Janet Hentrup, Rita Burns, Lisa Hentrup; grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Maria Kuenzer, Rebecca, William, Anna Kate, Elizabeth Reynolds, Austin Hirons, Charles and Chesney Jackson.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 2 PM to 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Dave's wishes.
