David Allen Rutledge

David Allen Rutledge, 53, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

He was born on March 29, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Wayne Rutledge, his grandparents, Lois and Robert Rutledge and Curtiss and Juanita Purdon, and his aunt, Paula Thomas Rutledge. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lori Rutledge, sons, Austin, Ryan and Daniel Rutledge, his mother, Sheila Lynn (James) Payne, his sisters, Lisa Gayle (Tony) Sacra and Sherry (Larry) Rutledge Curtsinger, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him very much.

Dave was a loving and devoted husband and father that spent his life taking care of his family. He enjoyed baseball and bowling, but what gave him the most pride and excitement in the games was watching his boys play. Dave enjoyed watching sports on Tv, trying new recipes and relaxing with family on the deck sipping his Woodford. He had the best sense of humor; some would describe it as corny but always in good fun. Dave leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love that will be carried on by the ones that loved him the most; his family. And remember folks " This is KY"!

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 8th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home.
