David Ridge

David L. Ridge, 61, of Floyds Knobs passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Dave retired from LG&E and was an employee of Just Engineering in Louisville. He was a member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus JFK Council #1348 and was a Kentucky Colonel. Known for his quick wit and ever-present smile, Dave will be missed by his family and many friends.

Dave was born on December 20, 1949 in New Albany. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Margaret "Maggie" (Haas) Ridge; daughter, Amy Proctor (Tom) of Ankeny, IA; son Andrew "Andy" Ridge (Tina) of Clarksville, IN; parents, Elizabeth "Betty" (Roth) and James Phillips; sisters, Carol Sawyer (Pat) and Debbie Scott (Cliff); brother, Mike Phillips; and grandchildren, Ethan, Ashley, Elizabeth Proctor, and A.J. Ridge.

His Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass is at 11 AM on Friday, December 2 at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church followed by entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
