David R. Adams
David Ray Adams, 72, of Gettelfinger Road in Palmyra passed away on Sunday evening, October 24, 2010. David was a retired painter and carpenter.
David was born on May 20, 1938 in Benson, North Carolina to the late John D. and Velma M. (Tart) Adams. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Edna Capps.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda J. (Goodlett) Adams; sons and daughters, Tony Adams of Palmyra, Lisa Jackson-Gregory of Greenville, Indiana, Richard Thacker of Palmyra, Bob Thacker of Goshen, Kentucky, John Thacker of Palmyra, and James "Rusty" Thacker of Mt. Eden, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen, and a Memorial Visitation will be from 11 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) with a Memorial Service at 3 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation (116 West 32 Street, New York, NY 10001).
