David Allen Ponder

David Allen Ponder, age 68, passed away on December 27, 2024. David was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late Sam and Thelma Ponder. Here to carry on his memory is his loving wife of 39 years, Pam Ponder; his brother, Mike Ponder and wife Jenifer Ponder and many friends of which are far to many to name. Also proceeding his passing is his uncle, Fox Ponder and Dan Ponder; his aunt, Terry Norfleet and many others also related to him.

David was a dedicated member of the American Legion and VFW as well. Though he was not a Veteran himself he became very interested in Veterans at an early age due to the fact his father Sam Ponder was a Veteran as well as his uncles Fox and Dan Ponder. He enjoyed going on vacations in Tennessee and some places outside of the United States like Mexico, Virgin Islands, and Jamaica. He learned to love traveling from his wife Pam Ponder who loved traveling. 

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the funeral home. A private burial at a later date will be at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
