David Norris

David Michael Norris, 59, of Louisville, passed away December 7, 2013 peacefully at his home.

David was born October 7, 1954 to James and Stella Norris. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, winning the 1986 Redman All-American Bass Tournament. David was featured on the cover of a sporting magazine. David was united in marriage to the former Charie Collins on July 4, 2009 in King's Saloon. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold-Em. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

David was preceded in death by sister-in law, Cheryl Norris, nephew Jerry Norris IV, and several aunts and uncles.

David is survived by his wife Charie; son Brandon Norris and daughter Rebecca Hibbs; parents James and Stella Norris; stepson Billy Durham and stepdaughter Shannon (Kevin) Gritton; four brothers: Jerry, Kevin (Terri), Tim (Cindy), and John (Sandra) Norris; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 1:00pm – 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral service will follow at 6:00pm, also at the funeral home.
