David Roderick Moss

David Roderick Moss, was born on January 9, 1962, passed away on December 5, 2021. He was born to the union of Hiram Clay Moss, Sr and Barbara Ann Moore Moss. He was a 1980 graduate of Butler High School. David worked as a forklift operator at Allgood Food Company and a mental health attendant at Central State Hospital. He was an avid UofL fan and enjoyed coaching little league football in Shively. David cherished his time listening to his massive collection of Jazz artist, R&B and especially Bootsy Collins and his social time at Better Way Food Mart. He was very social and the life of any party or family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Moss.

David is survived by his son, Damian Sanchez; father, Hiram Moss, Sr; brother, Hiram "Sonny" (Theresa) Moss, Jr; life-partner, Brooke Board and her sons, Tyler and Jeremiah Board; nephews, Demarcus Moss and Romello Bridgeman; great niece, Legend Moss; special friends, Mark Helm, Rev. Stephen "Stevie" Smith, Lamont Mayes and Carlos Shumake and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, December 13, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Louisville Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of David's life beginning at 1pm.

David will be laid be rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Ln, Louisville, KY 40216.
