David Lee Peppers

Mr. David Lee Peppers, age 62 passed away on Monday, September 28, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Hillcreek. He was the son of the late Alberta Dickerson Peppers and Alonzo Leo Peppers. David was an amateur radio operator, a co-founder of the Louisville EWTN affiliate, Holy Family Radio/WLCR AM 1040, was the host of the St. Joseph Hour and co-host of Ordinary Catholics on WWKY and later WFIA in Louisville. He was a member of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in the Archdiocese of Louisville and of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. He was an accomplished musician and participated in USO world tours.

David is survived by his brother, Willie L. Peppers (Judy Gunnels); his best friend of over 50 years Jerry Green; and a host of nieces, nephews and a cousin.

Mass of celebration will be noon Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 S Shelby St. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Radio, 3600 Goldsmith Lane, Louisville, Ky. 40220.
