David Lewis Hodges, age 63 of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Shepherdsville, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013. He was employed with CSX Railroad for over 35 years and was a member of Bardstown Junction Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Smothers Hodges; brothers, Jimmy Hodges and Spurgeon Hodges; and grandson, Grant Livers.
David is survived by his loving wife of almost 18 years, Deborah Huddleston Hodges; children, David Hodges, Jr. (Dawn), Suzanne Hodges (Delma Dotson), Tom Ray (Carolyn), Shelli Waldridge (Billy) and Holly Wade (Mark); grandchildren, Gavin, Gareth and Rebekah; siblings, Bonnie Griffin (Ray), Billy Hodges, Betty Carpenter (JC), Leona Rankin (Ray), Sandy Carbone, Bennie Hodges (Judy), Mary Ann McClanahan, Linda Armstrong (Barry) and Sherry Lybrand (Mike). He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Funeral ceremony will be 7pm Thursday, July 25 at Bardstown Junction Baptist Church, 4855 S. Preston Highway, Shepherdsville, Ky., with visitation from noon until time of service there.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Frankfort or the American Brain Cancer Society.
