David Glenn Kamer, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was a 1972 graduate of New Albany High School and went on to also graduate from Indiana University Southeast. David retired from the Census Bureau. He enjoyed all genres of music and was a history and science buff.
He was born on September 30, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, to Glenn Kamer and the late Sharon (Weber) Kamer. In addition to his mother, David was also preceded in death by his son, Patrick Kamer; and siblings, Paul Kamer and Ann Spalding.
Along with his father, Glenn, David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Reba (Barth) Kamer; children, Tim Kamer (Allyson), Christopher Kamer (Louisa), and Elizabeth Schroeder (Joe); sisters, Susan Jones (Jay), Laurie Kamer, and Nancy Batman; sister-in-law, Julie Kamer; brother-in-law, Jeff Spalding; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). David will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
