David R. Johnson

David "D.J. Da Prince" R. Johnson, 31, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. D.J. was an open person and was filled with compassion. He always made sure others were taken care of before himself. D.J. was the light of everyone's life. He loved his family and was very protective of all of his relatives. D.J. was the definition of loyalty.

He was born on September 19, 1989 in Louisville, Kentucky to Chauncy Durham and Karen Johnson. He is preceded in death by his Father, Chauncy C Durham, Brother, James Moore, and Grandmother, Frances P. Johnson.

D.J. is survived by his loving Mother, Karen (Troy Beason) Johnson, Sister, Amber Johnson, Sister, Whitney Johnson, Sister, Martina Johnson, Brother, Devin Taylor, Brother, Cory Durham, Brother, C.J. Durham, Sister, Chanbriel Durham, Brother, Jaylin Goodwin, Grandmother, Wanda Durham, Great-Grandmother, Carrie Lee Booker, Uncles, Gregory Martin, and Jeremy Johnson, Aunts, Sharon Johnson, and Maria Johnson. While living in Florida he had a friend who treated him like family, Mrs.Tessia. D.J. also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Great-Aunts, Great-Uncles, Aunts, Uncles, Extended Family, and Friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel- Southwest (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville) His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
