David Eugene "Pete" Howard, 75, passed away on September 27, 2022. He was a Navy veteran, who served in the Vietnam War. Pete retired from Philip Morris after 15 years of service and operated his own HVAC company. He was also a professor teaching HVAC. In his retirement, Pete enjoyed taking adventures in his RV with his wife, Pamela, tinkering with his convertible, beautifying his yard, pampering his fur-babies and sharing his faith.
He was preceded in death by Elinda Kaye Howard and their son, David Howard; parents, Charles and Virginia Howard, Sr; brother, Charles Howard, Jr.; and granddaughter, Caitlin Huynh.
Pete leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Pamela Howard; her daughters, Andrea Maxwell and Erica Rubio; grandchildren, Brandon Trujillo, Jasmyne Huynh, Gabriel Rubio, and Bryan Maxwell; daughter, Tiffani (John) Real; grandchildren, Oliver, Annabelle, Emmeline, and Everett; sisters, Lynn Davis and Charlotte Riley; and his fur-babies, Curly-Q, Izzy, and Maybelle.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel,10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of Pete's life will be Monday, October 3, 2022, beginning at 11:00 am at the chapel of the funeral home.
Pete will be laid to rest at Buck Grove Cemetery, 255 Buck Grove Church Road, Ekron, Kentucky.
