David Heeke, Sr.

David Heeke, Sr., 71, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born on April 8, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana. Dave worked for Rouck Plumbing for over 50 years until his retirement. He was involved in the New Albany Youth Football League and Grant Line Girls Softball for several years. He was a member of Post 42 of the American Legion. Dave was an avid baker and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them.

Dave is preceded in death by his father, Francis L. Heeke; and stepson, Benny Cook.

Dave is survived by his wife, Connie Heeke; mother, Marie Marcum; son, David "Dink" (Tammy) Heeke, Jr.; son, Derek (Shaya) Heeke; daughter, Jessica Heeke; stepdaughter, Lisa Meza; stepdaughter, Dawn Hall; brother, Robert (Ellen) Heeke; brother, George Heeke; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
