David Roy Evans

David Roy Evans, 58, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019. He worked as a stone mason and bricklayer and enjoyed playing video games and gambling. He will be remembered as a gentle soul who loved being with his family.

He was born on March 1, 1961, in Connersville, Indiana, to the late William H. Evans and Marilyn P. (Snyder) Riddle.

David is survived by his son, Brandon Van Winkle; granddaughter, Kyleigh Van Winkle; siblings, Michael Evans, Tina Trent, Dennis Evans, Michelle Henry, and Matthew Riddle; and girlfriend, Connie Shea.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow.

Memorial donations can be made to Kosair Charities in honor of David.
