David Brent Elder

David Brent Elder, 64, of Louisville, KY, passed away on May 24, 2024. He loved watching Charlie Chan movies, the movie Grease with Olivia Newton John, drinking Big Red, going to lunch and dinner at KingFish and Shoney's breakfast bar. David enjoyed taking his nephew and nieces to amusement parks. He was an avid Civil War enthusiast. David was a sweet and caring soul who was always concerned with the well-being of others. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Sue Elder, Sr. and his grandparents, John C. and Alene Brown.

David is survived by his brothers, Gary (Debbie) Elder, Jr. and Brian (Sandra) Elder; nephew, Evan Elder; and his nieces, Michelle Elder, Chelsea Crady and Megan Elder.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-2pm with a celebration of David's life beginning at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in David's memory.
