Darryl Huckleberry

Darryl Huckleberry, 54, of Louisville, KY, passed away quietly surrounded by family on February 14th, 2023.

Darryl grew up in Crestwood, where he attended Oldham County High School. After graduating high school in 1987, Darryl enlisted in the United States Navy. He served from 1987-2007 aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired in 2007 with military honors. Darryl was proud of his military service to his country. Darryl lived his life to the fullest and immensely loved and was proud of all three sons.

Darryl is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Huckleberry. He is survived by his three son's Kenneth, Zachary, and Benjamin, along with his Father, William Huckleberry, and his Brother and Sister, David Huckleberry and Jessica Huckleberry. Our family is grateful that Darryl is with our Heavenly Father.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A service to celebrate Darry's life will follow that day at 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Darryl will be laid to rest on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 12:30 P.M. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
