Darlyne (Fanning) Rama

Darlyne (Fanning) Rama, 74, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. She was a longtime server at Ryan's Steakhouse in Clarksville and a lifelong fan of the Indiana Hoosiers. Darlyne enjoyed going to yard sales and admiring her flowers and hummingbirds. She liked doing crafts, baking, and watching the Hallmark Channel. The most important thing for Darlyne was her family and friends, which she loved deeply.

She was born on March 4, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to Arlo, Sr., and Alice (Williamson) Fanning. In addition to her parents, Darlyne was preceded in death by her siblings, Geraldine, Wanda, and Arlo "Butch," Jr.

Darlyne is survived by her children, Rhonda Murphy (Marc) and Will Rama, Jr.; sisters, Gloria Jackson (Lowell) and Shirley Dailey (Carl); grandchildren, Jessica Snyder (Cody), Brent Potter (Alexica), Ally Sprigler, and Emily Rama; great-grandsons, Colten and Crew; and her faithful companion, Stew.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with cremation to follow, according to Darlyne's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting a tree in Darlyne's memory.
