Darlene (Murphy) Wayne, 55, of Irvington, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved to talk on the phone and play on the computer.
Darlene was born on March 12, 1956 to Mary (Lunsford) Murphy and the late Albert Murphy.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Burnice "Bud" Wayne, Sr.; sons, Burnice "Bud" Wayne, Jr. (Stacy) and James Wayne (Tammy); mother, Mary Murphy; brothers Bill and Albert Murphy; and grandchildren, Rebecca and Nathan Wayne, Justin Wedding, Addie Barbey, Gavin Baker, and Michael Wayne.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, September 2 at the funeral home followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
