Darlene S. Simpson

Darlene S. Simpson, 65, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Darlene was free spirited, loving, funny, and always had a smile on her face. She loved everyone, especially her grandchildren. She loved being at home watching her favorite TV shows. She was a true hippie at heart, always putting up peace signs, listening to Tom Petty, and very generous in giving. Darlene will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on September 21, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Helen (Lanman) McCarty. She is preceded in death by her Father, Robert McCarty, Mother, Helen McCarty, Roger Simpson, Nephew, Brad Adkisson.

Darlene is survived by her loving family, Son, Anthony Wayne (April) Simpson, Son, Ryan Simpson, Daughter, Jennifer Brown, Grandchildren, Kamryn Lee, Kenston Simpson, Kassidy Simpson, Cyrus Simpson, Bryson Brown, Toni Simpson, Sisters, Donna (Gary) Adkisson, Debi (Denny) Banks, Diane Kindred, Denise (Bruce) Kessinger, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her memory.

Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Valley Station Church of God (12491 Old Dixie Hwy Louisville, KY 40272).

The family requests that contributions in Darlene’s memory be made to Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
