Darlene D. Sauer

Darlene D. Sauer, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Darlene was a caring and loving mother, Granny, Grams, GG and Granny. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her family was her world. Darlene was a strong willed and spiritual woman. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on September 13, 1937 in to Joseph and Lula (Douglas) Calhoun. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lula Calhoun; father, Joseph Calhoun; sons, Ricky Sauer; Joseph Sauer, Michael Sauer; daughter, Arletha Sauer; as well as a host of siblings.

Darlene is survived by her loving family, daughter, Linda Cruz and Juan Cosme; sons, Danny Sauer, Larry Sauer, Kenneth (Angela) Sauer; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Her Funeral Service will be on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
