Darjey Kareem Walker

Darjey Kareem Walker, age 29 of Louisville, Kentucky, a loving son was born on September 4, 1993 to Rossie Head-Smith and Carlton Eugene Walker. On November 25, 2022, he fell asleep in death. He was a 2012 graduate of Tri-Cities High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been employed with Ford Motor Company and its affiliates in Louisville, Kentucky since 2012.

When Darjey was not working he was enjoying tapping into his creative side by writing and creating music. But what he loves most is taking care of his beautiful daughter, Skylar and spending time with her. Darjey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Flora Jean Head; uncle, Bernard Freeman; and aunt, Sara Walker.

Darjey leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to his parents, Rossie Head-Smith (Jeffrey) and Carlton Walker; daughter, Skylar Walker; fiance, Kierra Monique Board; brother, Damien Dennard Head (Jody); grandparents, Ms. Jessie Favors, Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Walker (Sarah) and Mr. & Mrs. Willie Morris Head (Jeannette); aunts and uncles, Ben Walker, Samuel Walker (Beverly), Tonya Webb (Terence), Sonya Rivers, Juanita Jackson, Morris Evans (Elaine), Eugenia Moore (Troy), Vanessa Floyd (Bernard), Bertrand Greer (Clarice), Dexter T. Head (DieQuiter), Zipporaha Gober (John); nephews, Ryan Head and Malcom Head; as well as a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Darjey's life will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 10am to 1pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A service for Darjey will be held in the near future in Jackson, Georgia.
