Danny F. Waddell

Danny F. Waddell, 65, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born March 6th, 1953, to Earnest F Waddell and Mary "Hazel" Alvey. Danny was a caring Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents and his Brother George. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Waddell; Daughter, Stephanie Waddell; Son, Daniel Waddell (Michelle); Son, Jordan Waddell; Brother, Mike Waddell; Sister, Vickie Osting (Kevin); and several Grandkids.

Danny graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1972 then shortly after he joined the Army, serving 7 years. He recently retired from Raytheon, F.K.A Naval Ordnance in 2016. In his spare time you would mostly see Danny enjoying the outdoors and sitting on the front porch drinking coffee with friends. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan as well as NASCAR. As a member of the Zoneton Masonic Lodge 964, Danny was known by family and friends to help people in need. He was selfless, compassionate and loyal to everyone. His sense of humor is what everyone will remember him by.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday, September 23rd at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with a Masonic Service beginning at 5 pm. Services will be held at 1 pm Monday, September 24th at the funeral home with a committal service to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY at 2:30 pm.
