Danny Ray Purvis, II, age 36 of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church where he also attended school. He went on to high school at St. Xavier and Wagner. He was preceded in death by his father Danny Ray Purvis, Sr. and his grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Curry Hayes.
Danny is survived by his mother Brenda Hayes; brother, A.J. Hayes; children, Madelyn Grace, Logan Chase, Tristen and Travis; his friends who are brothers to him, Jason Rice, Guy Grey and Mike Bleu; uncles, Glen, Charlie, Al and Duke Hayes; aunts, Mary and Teresa Hayes; cousins, Matthew Ashlock and Richard Hayes and Sarah Hayes; also a host of family and friends.
Funeral ceremony will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be 5-8 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
To all his friends and family, Danny Ray had a Heart of Gold. He often confided to his mother that he wanted to be "A soldier for the Good Lord".
