Danny "Scott" Atwell

Danny "Scott" Atwell, aged 51, of Louisville, KY, departed from this world on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born on January 18, 1974, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the cherished son of Danny Atwell and Denise (Hartman) Elzey. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Denise Elzey, son Cody Cochran, wife, Dwan Atwell; and sister, Crystal Elcey.

Scott's legacy of love and kindness endures through his two wonderful sons, Kaine French and Donavan Atwell. He also leaves behind a supportive father, Danny Atwell; dear sisters, Angela Atwell and Jo Ann Poole; and a brother, Larry White. His extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, will forever hold dear the sweet memories of him.

Known for his appreciation of life's simple joys, Scott found happiness in spending time with his family, relishing fishing trips, and cheering for his favorite teams, the U of L Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Though he could occasionally be stubborn, those who knew him best understood that his heart was as big as his love for them.

A visitation will be held to honor Scott's life on Wednesday, March 19th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A heartfelt Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 PM at the same location.

 The family kindly requests contributions in Scott's memory be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
