Danny Ray Alvey, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away in his home on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Danny was a proud, life-long resident of Portland. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 110 and was a gifted welder and a skilled mechanic.
He was born on December 11, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence and Virginia (Kuchenbrod) Alvey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann; and two brothers, Charles "Bootsie" and John "Larry".
He is survived by his children, Sherry, Sam, Susan and Samantha; grandchildren, Ruby, Lilly, Danny, Isabelle, Gracie, and Adalyn; great -grandchildren, Jolee and June; and sister: Linda.
Cremation has been entrusted by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47130). In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, (3511 Rudd Ave, Louisville, Kentucky).
