Daniel Lee Watts

November 14, 1947 — April 23, 2022

Daniel Lee Watts, 74, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday at 1:22 a.m., April 23, 2022. After graduating from Clarksville High School and taking DeMolay classes, he found employment at M. Fine & Sons, where he served as a union steward. After the factory closure, he attended Ivy Tech and took computer courses. A lover of tropical fish and motorcycles, Danny spent his leisure time as a professional bowler and had participated in many leagues throughout his life. Danny had also been involved in Scouts and ballroom dancing.

He was born on November 14, 1947, in Lebanon, Indiana, to the late James and Zoe (McDaniel) Watts. Danny is survived by his children, Patrick Watts (Shyan), Bradlee Watts (Casey), Lindsey Watts, and Wittney Witt (Thomas); siblings, Deanna Campbell (Bruce), Darla Taylor, and Daryl Watts; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his former wife and friend, Carolyn Cook.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with cremation to follow according to Danny's wishes.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff at Baptist Health Floyd for being so gentle with Danny over the last few weeks. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation.
