Daniel "Dan" Walker, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
He was born on November 30, 1947 in Niagara Falls, New York to Howard and Louise (Hanson) Walker. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Sue Gates and her husband Patrick Gates, Howard Walker and Faye Walker and his close friend, Dee Hardig.
Dan was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. He was a member of the Auxiliary Police and the Barber Shop Quartet. Dan also enjoyed fishing, singing karaoke and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for how caring he was toward others and how he never met a stranger.
Dan is survived by his loving children, Tonya (Jason) Wilson and Jamie (Jodi) Walker, Sr., numerous grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his siblings, Carol Walker, Edward (Penny) Walker and Kendal Walker, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at High Point Church of Louisville, 9223 Fern Creek Road. A service celebrating Dan's life will begin at 2pm at the church.
The family requests that contributions in Dan's memory be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
