Daniel Poulter

Daniel Poulter, age 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 18, 2024. He was born on June 24, 1958 in Louisville, where he spent his formative years and later established a career characterized by dedication and hard work. Daniel graduated from Seneca High School and pursued higher education at Milligan College, where he achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Business, a milestone he regarded as one of his proudest accomplishments.

Throughout his professional journey, Daniel made significant contributions to the industries in which he worked. He spent years with Prudential Life Insurance and further distinguished himself as a Food Service Salesman for Sysco and Institutional Distributor. His work ethic was admired by colleagues, and his commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on those lucky enough to work alongside him.

Daniel was known for his vibrant personality and a profound love for being around people. He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey (Joseph) Dorrell; grandchildren, Oliver and Josie Dorrell; father, Max Poulter; sisters, Sherryl L. (Bill) Canterbury and Victoria S. (Brett) Leucht; and brother, Martin T. (Tracy) Poulter. He also leaves behind many loving friends and family whose lives he touched deeply.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Daniel had a passion for music that manifested in his role as a DJ for weddings and events over several years. He cherished the time spent with his family, cultivating memories that will remain dear to them. His loyalty as a friend and devotion to family were hallmarks of his character, making him a cherished member of his community.

Daniel’s memory will be honored with a visitation on December 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A funeral service will follow at the same location, commencing at 12:00 PM and concluding at 12:30 PM. Daniel will then be laid to rest at Cave Hill Cemetery & Arboretum, with burial scheduled at 1:00 PM.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan B. Poulter, whose memory will also be cherished and honored by those who knew and loved her.

Daniel Poulter's life was one marked by love, laughter, and a firm commitment to his family and friends. He will be missed and forever remembered.
