Daniel L. Hitner, 45, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home. He was a software engineer for Humana in Louisville, KY. Daniel enjoyed playing golf, jet skiing, and his collection of salt water fish.

He was born on May 16, 1967 in Louisville, KY to Irvin D. and Glenda J. (Sparrow) Hitner. Along with his parents, Daniel is survived by his sisters, Karen Dallas (John), Kim Mitchell (Loran), brother, Michael Hitner; grandmother, Jewell Sparrow; a large extended family; and his K9 companions, Buster and Hutch.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, November 9, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and after 10 AM on Saturday at Georgetown Christian Church (9420 State Road 64, Georgetown). His Memorial Service will take place at 11 AM Saturday at the church with private burial to follow at a later date at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown.

Memorial contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to Scenic Hill Christian Youth Camp in care of Georgetown Christian Church.
